Updated ‘Save It’ DVD launched

19 December 2006

A new updated FREE DVD has been launched today by Freight Best Practice in response to continuous high demand for the successful previous VHS version. The new and improved DVD is designed for all sizes of vehicle operators, with objective and practical tips on fuel saving techniques, covering best practice advice on efficient driving, vehicle maintenance and specification.

Once again the DVD provides an introduction to fuel-efficient operations but now also includes a new short introductory video to give a condensed overview of Freight Best Practice. The DVD is made up of two videos; firstly ‘Champions of Fuel’ which describes the role of a fuel champion and secondly ‘The Road to Fuel Efficiency’. Many thousands of operators received the last video and field trials with a range of operators who used those techniques have seen fuel consumption savings ranging from 7% to 15% and the new update is aiming to improve on that.

Jonathan James, Director of the Freight Practice Programme said:

‘I am delighted with this updated video and believe it arms operators with all the information necessary to cut those costly fuel bills and spread the message to staff throughout their businesses. We are offering this DVD free of charge and believe by showing this video to transport managers and drivers and by following the simple but effective tips shown, operators will not just only make savings on fuel consumption, but will also help to improve the safety of their vehicles'

With limited stock available and with undoubtedly a high demand for this update don’t delay in placing your order. To get your free copy of the new DVD, either e-mail Freight Best Practice at order@freightbestpractice.org.uk or telephone the Hotline on 0845 877 0 877
