...Multi-Modal Research
The Freight Best Practice programme is seeking transport professionals to take part in an industry wide multi-modal research study. The 4 week online research project, which is being run during October, is being conducted to provide the programme and the Department for Transport with more information on what is required to facilitate modal shift as well as greater efficiencies within rail and waterways transport.
The programme is looking for information from all the key players in the industry to gain a thorough understanding of the economic and operational issues faced when trying to conduct modal change. The research is designed to gauge the thoughts of anyone with an interest in freight from road, rail, coastal shipping or inland waterway users and operators, to trade associations, local authorities, developers and other interested stakeholders.
