Freight Best Practice In-House Presentation...

........Helps Operators Get Leaner and Greaner

The Department for Transport sponsored Freight Best Practice programme is once again hitting the road and completing a series of free in-house presentations around the country sharing their knowledge on how operators can become more efficient, save fuel and ultimately save money.

Over the coming weeks, the Freight Best Practice team will be visiting operators across England and will be giving bespoke presentations designed for Transport Managers and relevant staff who can influence operational efficiency. There are still a few remaining days left, so if you would like the Freight Best Practice team to visit your operation and give a free in house presentation, either e-mail events@freightbestpractice.org.uk or call Amanda Wilson 0161 927 8346. There are only a limited number of available days left, so to avoid disappointment call today.

The programme has a proven track record of making a difference; in a recent independent assessment it was shown that operators who use the programme save on average £20,500 per year.

Each session will start with a 30 minute presentation on the key messages of the programme and the importance of reducing Carbon Emissions. The operator then has the chance to mould the presentation to suit their own individual operational requirement by choosing 3 presentations that will be most beneficial to their operation. They can choose between:

  • Change Management in relation to saving fuel
  • Performance Management and Benchmarking
  • Vehicles – ‘Specifying the Correct Vehicle’
  • Systems – ‘IT’ and ‘Telematics’
  • Transport Operators’ Pack (TOP)
