Local Haulier Champions Best Practice

Local Kent based haulage company, Logiq UK has recently featured in a Department for Transport Freight Best Practice Case Study entitled 'Owner Drivers and Small Fleet Operators: Simple, Cost Effective Ways to Improve Efficiency'. Logiq UK which is based in Faversham improved the efficiency of its 9 vehicles by 10%.

Logiq UK actions involved the introduction of a driver bonus scheme, better use of aerodynamics, improved vehicle utilisation and a preventative maintenance system for tyres. These improvements which other operators will now view as industry best practice and may learn from, resulted in a 10% improvement in fuel consumption which prevented 31 tonnes of CO2 being emitted over a year.
